Kevin Rufner, MD, MPH

Dr. Kevin Rufner is a board certified gastroenterologist with expertise in general gastroenterology and a focused clinical interest in inflammatory bowel disease and immune mediated gastrointestinal disorders. His areas of care include Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, microscopic colitis, GERD, eosinophilic gastrointestinal disease, functional GI disorders, and diseases of the liver and pancreas. He performs a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including advanced endoscopic techniques such as EMR and ESD for complex colon polyp removal, Bravo pH testing, intestinal ultrasound for bowel inflammation, complex esophageal dilation and stenting, high resolution manometry, impedance testing, and basic ERCP. Dr. Rufner received his BS in Biochemistry and Nutrition from the University of California, San Diego, and earned both his MD and MPH from Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Colorado. He is a member of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation and the American College of Gastroenterology.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Rufner enjoys traveling, playing guitar and music, skiing, hiking, and scuba diving.
