Dr Backus serves as the Pediatric Rotation Director for the AdventHealth Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship. She is a Clinical Educator for the AdventHealth Culinary Medicine Resident Education Program. She also serves as Clinical Preceptor for the Advent Health Pediatric Residency, as well as Clinical Preceptor and Volunteer Faculty for the University of Central Florida Medical School.
Dr Backus is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics Council for Sports Medicine & Fitness, and also serves on the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine Education Committee. She serves as an AdventHealth Spiritual Ambassador and serves on the AdventHealth Medical Group Wellness Committee.
