Karen Shanaker Germain, APRN

Karen Shanaker Germain, APRN, is an advanced practice registered nurse who provides primary care to patients ages 5 and up. She performs annual wellness exams, provides chronic disease management and delivers comprehensive men’s and women’s health care. Karen was drawn to a career in family medicine because she wanted to care for people across their entire life cycle. She is committed to building a trusting patient-provider relationship, as she believes healing begins with trust. Karen earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Capella University in Minneapolis. She also holds a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Family Nurse Practitioner studies and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from South University in Orlando. She is certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support and is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Outside of her clinical practice, Karen enjoys activities that support balance and wellness.
