Juan Montoya, MD, is a board-certified urologist and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Montoya is fluent in Spanish and practices a full spectrum of general urology with a special emphasis on robotic and laparoscopic surgery. His specialties include nerve sparing prostatectomy and pyeloplasty, nephrectomy, patients with spinal cord injuries, sacral nerve stimulation (Interstim), extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy, percutaneous nephrolithotripsy, and ureteroscopy with holmium laser.
Dr. Montoya earned his medical doctorate from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Montoya completed an internship in general surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He then completed his urology training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center/Parkland Memorial Hospital. He is a member of the American Urological Association, South Central Section of the American Urological Association, Denver Medical Society, and Rocky Mountain Urologic Society.
