Joel Strohecker, DO, is a board-certified family medicine physician who provides comprehensive primary care for patients ages 17 and older. Dr. Strohecker cares for a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, including chronic disease management, geriatric concerns, post-hospitalization care and preventive health services. As part of his practice, he performs basic primary care procedures and is dedicated to helping patients achieve their health goals through personalized, evidence-based care. Dr. Strohecker was drawn to medicine because of his love for spending time with people and helping them thrive. While he values the privilege of practicing medicine, it is the relationships he builds with patients that make his career especially meaningful. He enjoys getting to know patients, understanding their experiences and partnering with them to improve their health and well-being. He speaks English and conversational Spanish. Dr. Strohecker earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania. He went on to receive his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his family medicine residency at the University of Colorado. He is board certified in family medicine and holds an additional certification in hospital medicine.

Outside of work, Dr. Strohecker enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his family. He is passionate about public health and is actively involved in nonprofit work in Guatemala. He also has a strong interest in environmental health and works with local nonprofit organizations in Colorado focused on addressing air pollution and its impact on community well-being.
