Jason Epstein, MD

Jason Epstein, MD, MBA is a board-certified physician specializing in the comprehensive evaluation and management of musculoskeletal conditions, with a focus on restoring movement, improving function, and supporting long-term joint and tissue health. Dr. Epstein completed his residency in family medicine at Inspira Healthcare Network in Woodbury, NJ, followed by a sports medicine fellowship at Halifax Health. He currently serves as the head team physician for the Orlando Solar Bears and works closely with athletes and performers across professional sports, performing arts, and high-demand environments. His prior experience includes serving as a team physician for the Cincinnati Reds minor league affiliate Daytona Tortugas, Bethune-Cookman University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona State College, and multiple local high schools. He has also collaborated with SpaceX on exercise treadmill testing for cardiovascular evaluation. Dr. Epstein earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Fox School of Business at Temple University and holds academic appointments with Florida State University, the University of Central Florida, and Loma Linda University. His clinical approach emphasizes thoughtful diagnosis and individualized care, considering biomechanics, neuromuscular control, and activity demands to guide treatment decisions. He has advanced training in musculoskeletal ultrasound for diagnostic evaluation and image-guided procedures. His areas of expertise include orthobiologic treatments such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP), bone marrow aspirate (BMA), microfat (MFAT) and other regenerative therapies, with a focus on tendon, ligament, joint, and soft tissue conditions. Dr. Epstein is trained in TenJet percutaneous tenotomy and utilizes this minimally invasive, ultrasound-guided procedure to precisely remove diseased tendon tissue and promote healing in patients with chronic tendon pain who have not improved with conservative care. Dr. Epstein remains actively involved in research serving as specialty associate director, with interests in tendon pathology, core muscle injuries, and the clinical application of orthobiologic therapies to improve function and long-term outcomes. A native of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Dr. Epstein is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the Interventional Orthobiologic Foundation, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Performing Arts Medicine Association, and additional organizations focused on orthobiologics and regenerative medicine.
