Fernando Castro, LMHC

Fernando Castro, LMHC, is a licensed mental health counselor and a qualified supervisor for registered mental health counseling interns with extensive experience as an individual counselor for adults. He earned a bachelor’s degree in religion with a minor in Psychology from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI, and a master’s degree of Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, IL. Fernando began his career in counseling at Kindred Hospital in Chicago, IL, in 2010. Fernando started working in the Central Florida area in 2014 as a therapist at Clements and Associates in Orlando and Lake Mary, FL. Fernando joins AdventHealth from Orlando Health in Longwood, FL, where he has been a mental health therapist since 2015. He served there as a mental health therapist working in the emergency department conducting crisis intervention services, then working with cancer patients by providing emotional support for clients and families in distress, and then most recently in outpatient behavioral health as a clinical supervisor and providing one on one individual counseling services. He is dedicated to whole-person care, treating body, mind, and spirit.
