Daniel Farinas, MD

Daniel Farinas, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon with extensive experience in treating obesity and metabolic syndrome. He earned his degree in Chemical Engineering and his Doctor of Medicine degree from Florida State University College of Medicine where he graduated at the top of his class. He completed his general surgery residency at AdventHealth where he served as chief resident and received the Resident of the Year Award. After residency, he completed a fellowship in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Farinas collaborated closely with residents to expand their MIS curriculum and taught lectures to medical students at Yale. Dr. Farinas has presented at international conferences, published articles in peer-reviewed journals, and co-authored several textbook chapters. He is fluent in both English and Spanish and remains dedicated to providing holistic, patient-centered care to every patient he serves.
