Christine H. Abair, MD

Christine H Abair, MD, has been practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology for more than 20 years, including over 13 years serving the Louisville community. She cares for patients through many stages of life, including routine and high-risk pregnancy, preventive gynecologic care, contraceptive counseling, preconception counseling, postpartum care, perimenopause and postmenopause concerns, pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, endometriosis and overall women's health. Dr. Abair also performs a range of gynecologic procedures, including minimally invasive surgery, laparoscopic hysterectomy, myomectomy, hysteroscopy, polypectomy, bilateral salpingectomy, ovarian cyst removal, cesarean section, vaginal deliveries, vaginal biopsies, colposcopy, LEEP procedures and evaluation of abnormal Pap smears. Dr. Abair earned degrees in biology and psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder, where she graduated magna cum laude, and her Doctor of Medicine from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where she served as administrative chief resident. Her background also includes experience as an associate professor at The University of Texas Medical Branch and in private practice at Boulder Medical Center.

Outside of work, Dr. Abair enjoys running, hiking, skiing, reading and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Abair believes compassionate, skillful care can make a meaningful difference for patients and their families. She takes time to listen, understand each patient's needs and provide comprehensive women's health care with respect, compassion and clinical expertise.
