Dr. Hughes believes that, as a family medicine physician, she is in a unique position to help anyone who walks through her door. She enjoys the variety that family medicine offers and the constant opportunities to learn something new. Dr. Hughes treats a wide range of conditions in patients of all ages including, but is not limited to: preventive screenings, immunizations, hypertension, diabetes, obesity, high cholesterol, thyroid disease, anxiety and depression, heart disease, asthma and COPD, women's health, skin disorders and acute illnesses. In 2025, Dr. Hughes received the Medical Knowledge Award and the Clinic Evidence Based Medicine Award by Mayo Clinic. She is also a Menopause Society certified practitioner.
