Biography

Carol Tanner St. James, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician who cares for patients of all ages. As part of her primary care practice, she performs annual wellness exams, provides treatment for acute and chronic illnesses and cares for men’s and women’s health. She felt called to a career in medicine as a way to live out her faith and serve others. She is committed to building trusted patient-provider relationships and strives to care for her patients as she would her own family. Dr. St. James earned her medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine and completed family medicine residencies at UF Health Shands Hospital and Alachua General Hospital in Gainesville. She’s a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and has a fellowship in geriatrics.
