B. Azka Nabi, MD, MRCPsych, is a board-certified psychiatrist highly experienced in geriatric psychiatry and adult psychiatry. She earned her medical degree from Dow Medical College, Karachi University, Karachi, Pakistan. Dr. Nabi holds a Master of Science in clinical research from Newcastle University, Newcastle, UK. Her post-graduate work includes an MRCPsych from the Royal College of Psychiatrists in London, UK. She earned Dual CCT (UK specialist qualifications) from the General Medical Council, UK in old age and general adult psychiatry. She completed her fellowship training in old age psychiatry from London, UK in 2019. She further completed her psychiatry residency as chief resident of geriatric psychiatry, and research and quality at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. Dr. Nabi specializes in treating geriatric patients with depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, prolonged grief, and dementia with behavioral disturbances. She emphasizes evidence-based medications, non-pharmacological interventions, spiritual wellness, and structured psychotherapy for overall mental wellness. Additionally, she has given numerous presentations on research and quality improvement projects in geriatric psychiatry.
