Azib Shahid, MD

Azib Shahid, MD, is a pulmonary and critical care physician, joining our team at the Heart, Lung and Vascular Institute. Dr. Shahid’s approach to patient care emphasizes humility, approachability, and a patient-centered evaluation grounded in attentive listening and strong physical examination skills. His research interests are focused on lung cancer diagnosis and staging, advanced bronchoscopy procedures and medical innovation. Dr. Shahid is an active member of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Chest Physicians, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the American Thoracic Society. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, playing soccer, tennis, and chess.
