Biography

Andrea Bach Messel, CNM, MSN, is a highly experienced and compassionate nurse midwife who has honed her skills over more than 34 years in the nursing profession. She is an honors graduate of Stony Brook University in New York, where she earned her Master of Science degree as part of the Advanced Practice Nursing Program in Nurse Midwifery in 2004. Since then, Andrea has specialized in providing complete obstetrical and gynecologic care to women from the reproductive years through postmenopause in private practice and hospital delivery units. She has many years of experience as a first assistant to physicians during C-section deliveries and is a Certified Lactation Counselor. Andrea also holds special certification in fetal monitoring, advanced cardiac life support and neonatal resuscitation. She is dedicated to precepting and mentoring new Practitioners in women’s health. Andrea is involved with most education and training for staff and physicians.
