Biography

Alejandra Ricaurte, APRN, is an advanced practice registered nurse who has been with AdventHealth since 2016, most recently as a breast care nurse navigator in Celebration, FL. She recently earned a Doctorate in Nursing Practice, focusing on adult-gerontology acute care, at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Microbiology from the same institution. Alejandra has extensive pre-clinical and clinical research experience, including in roles such as an immunology research assistant at Sanofi Pasteur, and as a clinical research nurse and oncology clinical research operations manager at the AdventHealth Research Institute. Alejandra has also served as a registered nurse and charge nurse in surgical oncology and as an assistant nurse manager in multisystem oncology at AdventHealth Orlando. Alejandra is fluent in Spanish and English and has traveled extensively in Spanish-speaking countries as a volunteer on medical missions.
