Our mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ goes beyond our facilities and into our communities. Our Community Advocacy team brings this work to life. We partner with local organizations and other community members to pilot programs, fund initiatives, mobilize volunteers and bring hope and healing into the regions we serve.
Community Health Needs Assessments
Every three years, AdventHealth hospitals nationwide complete a Community Health Needs Assessment. During these assessments, we talk and work with community organizations, public health experts and people like you who understand our communities best. This in-depth look at the overall health of our communities and the barriers to care they experience helps us better understand the unique needs of each of our communities.
Community Health Plans
We use the information from our community assessments to create strategic plans that address the issues impacting our communities most. At AdventHealth, we know that a healthy community is not a “one size fits all” situation — everyone deserves a whole-health approach that meets them where they are and supports their individual health journey.
Our community initiatives focus on increasing access to health care and improving overall community health. To help meet these needs, we partner with a range of local organizations. These vital partnerships help our neighbors feel whole. We offer these community programs without regard to profit.
