Giving Back With Gratitude
As a freshman in high school, Julia Costa’s diagnosis of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma made her feel like “a hole opened in the ground, and I just fell into it.” After achieving remission through chemotherapy and radiation at AdventHealth, she wanted to channel the compassion she experienced during treatment.
The Bell Project, a club she created at her high school, now donates toys, makeup and wigs to AdventHealth for Children. Julia hopes to sustain the work by turning it into a foundation one day.
“Everything I’ve gone through, being in the position to help others now, just makes me so grateful.”
