AdventHealth Winter Park is a 373-bed community hospital located in Winter Park, Florida. Our interdisciplinary teams are dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care through collaborative and evidence-based practices. We are committed to improving patient outcomes and enhancing the well-being of the community we serve. The hospital offers a broad range of clinical services, including a comprehensive Orthopedic Institute, Primary Stroke Center designation, a 60-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, a 20-bed critical care unit, a robust antimicrobial stewardship program, and advanced emergency medical services.
The PGY1 pharmacy residency program at AdventHealth Winter Park was established in 2018 to support the development of highly trained pharmacists and to advance the profession in response to the evolving healthcare landscape. The program enhances both clinical and operational pharmacy services while integrating residents into a decentralized model of care. Residents work closely with multidisciplinary teams to monitor and optimize medication therapy, contributing to improved patient outcomes. Our pharmacy team is committed to delivering clinical excellence in a cost-effective manner while remaining aligned with the organization’s mission.

One Medication Use Evaluation or Clinical Practice Evaluation
One practice-related advancement or quality improvement project including:
Institutional review board and Office of Research Administration approval
External presentation of the project or submission for presentation at a local, state, or national meeting
Journal worth peer review manuscript of the project
One hour accredited continuing education presentation

Recommendation writers should provide examples of obstacles you overcame while under their tutelage (i.e. clinical scenario, complex patient case)
Recommendation writers should be succinct and specific in their comments
