While at AdventHealth during his mother’s cancer treatment, Joe Norelli happened upon a donation table supporting the AdventHealth Foundation. With the last check in his checkbook, Joe donated what he could in honor of his mother and her fight.
Joe had established the Norelli Family Foundation years before, supporting a wide range of social, human services, and other charitable purposes, and, in 2024, even released a Grammy-nominated children’s rock album in collaboration with close friend Alice Cooper and his Solid Rock Teen Center. After his and his mother’s experience with AdventHealth, he felt called to support other cancer patients in their journey.
The Norelli Family Foundation’s recent gift to the AdventHealth Cancer Institute Integrative Arts and Music Therapy allowed the team to hire an additional full-time music therapist, ensuring everyone facing a cancer diagnosis, big and small, has access to the healing arts.
“It’s a different feeling, to me, than just handing over a check. Now that I’m involved with music, there’s something real special about supporting my local hospital [and the music therapy team].”
