With our Neurology APP Fellowship, step into a dynamic year of multifaceted training that includes patient care, simulation training, and application of clinical trials into clinical practice while discovering the breadth and depth of neurological care management alongside a team of esteemed physicians and advanced practice providers.

There is a growing nationwide demand for educated and compassionate advanced practice providers. We’re dedicated to fulfilling that need by providing 12-month post-graduate fellowships for nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

As we live out our mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ, we are committed to growing the clinical, academic and patient experience skills you need to succeed as part of the next generation of AdventHealth APPs. Our fellowship program is a dedicated year of training and education to prepare you for your role as an advanced practice provider.

Grow Your Skills in Neurology

Neurology is a multifaceted discipline that spans a lifetime. The Neurology Fellowship program provides in-depth clinical and didactic study in adult general and subspeciality neurology – in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Providers will diagnose and manage low- to high-complexity neurological diseases while working alongside esteemed physicians and advanced practice providers.

What to Expect From Our Neurology Fellowship

In our Neurology Fellowship program, APPs are offered a comprehensive and structured training experience designed to enhance your skills and knowledge in managing a variety of patients. Some of the key benefits of our program are below.

Program Objectives

By the end of the fellowship year, the fellow should have experience in the following:

  • Demonstrate mastery of current guidelines and evidence-based practices in neurology through regular assessments and active discussion in didactic sessions.
  • Engage in high fidelity simulation scenarios to practice acute neurological emergency management (i.e. cerebrovascular accident)
  • Develop procedural skills (i.e. Botox injections) and communication techniques through simulation.
  • Participate in progressional development curriculum focused on leadership, billing and coding, quality, ethics and career advancement.
  • Cultivate skills in interdisciplinary collaboration and systems-based practice which help improve effective communication skills and teamwork for best patient outcomes.

Take the Next Step and Apply Today

We welcome your application for our fellowship program in neurology. Online applications for the next cohort will be available starting June 30, 2025. The deadline for application submission is September 26, 2025. Applicant interviews will be conducted in the Fall 2025, with applicants selected and notified by November 3. This fellowship program has an anticipated start date of April 6, 2026.
