Maryam Phillips

MD, Family Medicine

Dr. Phillips is a board-certified family medicine and board certified obesity medicine physician and specializes in primary care and obesity medicine including women’s health, pediatric services, preventive care, weight loss and sports medicine. She completed an extensive family medicine residency at University of Florida / Shands Hospital, where she served as OB and Women’s Health Chief Resident, as well as provided inpatient, ICU and outpatient care. Prior to her residency, Dr. Phillips earned her medical degree from the University of Laval in Quebec, Canada, during which she completed eight separate clerkship rotations in family medicine, OB/GYN, pediatrics, geriatrics, psychiatry, internal medicine, neuro-oncology and emergency medicine.

She has most recently completed several leadership courses both year long In christian and physician hospital leadership with General Mark Hertling. She aims to be a strong leader in healthcare reform and promote preventative health.

Her extensive, published peer-reviewed research, awards won, teaching positions held and volunteer services provided support her dedication to the field of family medicine. Dr. Phillips will see patients from newborn preform male circumcisions and provides comprehensive family medicine services, including women’s health and family planning, well-child exams, immunizations and flu shots, treatment of acute and chronic illness, sports medicine, as well as minor office procedures and preventive health screenings.

She speaks English, French, Spanish and Arabic. Serving newborns and up.
