ORLANDO, Fla. - AdventHealth University will help fill high-demand job roles throughout the U.S. through its new High School Workforce Development Certificates program.
“AHU is committed to playing a vital role in the health care workforce pipeline, both locally and throughout the country,” said C. Coursework is online and self-paced, with completion possible in as little as six weeks to 25 weeks. All end with a national certification exam, and the Pharmacy Tech Professional course requires 160 clinical hours. The six certificates offered are:
- Medical Billing and Coding Specialist
- Medical Office Assistant
- Electronic Health Records Management
- Medical Terminology
- Medical Administrative Assistant
- Pharmacy Technician
“Earning a professional certificate is an excellent way to begin a career in health care,” said Olesea Azevedo, executive vice president and chief administrative officer for AdventHealth and a member of AHU’s Board of Trustees. "Exposure to the health care industry, especially at AdventHealth’s world-class care centers, reveals a world of innovation, compassion, and healing."
