Colorado
Starting January 2024, Colorado FAMLI provides paid leave so you can care for yourself or your family — covering bonding, caregiving and your own serious health condition — with partial wage replacement and job protections.

CT Paid Leave (CTPL) and CT FMLA make it possible to take paid time off and job‑protected leave for family and medical reasons — like bonding, caring for family or managing your own health — so you can be there when it matters most.

District of Columbia (DC)
DC Paid Family Leave helps you take paid time to bond with a new child, care for a family member or manage your own serious health needs, with benefit amounts updated annually.

Maine
Maine PFML will provide paid family and medical leave benefits beginning May 1, 2026 (payroll contributions started January 1, 2025) so you can take time for bonding, caregiving or your own health needs.

Maryland
Starting in January 2028, FAMLI will make it possible to take up to 12 weeks of paid leave per year — with benefits of up to $1,000 per week — so you can take care of yourself and your family when it matters most.

Massachusetts
Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) provides eligible workers with partial wage replacement and job-protected leave for bonding with a new child, caring for a family member, certain military-related needs or managing their own serious health condition — generally up to 12 weeks of family leave, 20 weeks of medical leave and 26 weeks combined per benefit year.

Minnesota
Beginning January 1, 2026, Minnesota Paid Leave lets you take paid, job‑protected time for your own serious health condition, bonding with a new child, family caregiving, certain military needs or personal safety — up to 12 weeks of Medical Leave and 12 weeks of Family Leave (maximum 20 weeks); the 2026 maximum weekly benefit is $1,423.

New Jersey
New Jersey supports you with Temporary Disability Insurance (TDI) — paid benefits when you can’t work due to a non‑work health condition or pregnancy — and Family Leave Insurance (FLI) for bonding and caregiving, with benefits based on your average weekly wage up to state maximums.

New York
New York’s DBL pays disability benefits for non‑work illnesses or injuries (including pregnancy), and PFL provides job‑protected, paid time to bond with a new child, care for family or support during military deployment — up to 12 weeks at 67% of your average weekly wage, capped at $1,228.53 in 2026.
