Plan Today for a Secure Tomorrow
Your future matters. AdventHealth is here to help you build financial security and peace of mind through retirement savings, matching contributions and tools to make planning simple.
Your Core Retirement Plan
The Adventist HealthCare Retirement Plan (AHRP) helps you save for retirement through payroll contributions from you and AdventHealth and is available to all team members!
How it works:
- 403(b): Your retirement contributions go here. You can choose pre-tax, Roth (after-tax) or after-tax contributions.
- 401(a): AdventHealth’s contributions, including the employer match, go here.
Together, the 403(b) and 401(a) make up the AHRP.
2026 Contribution Limits
The IRS sets limits on how much you can contribute to your retirement plan each year.
- Under age 50: Up to $24,500
- Age 50–59 (and age 64+): Up to $32,500, including an $8,000 catch-up contribution
- Age 60–63: Up to $35,750, including the $11,250 enhanced catch-up contribution
Good to know: Once you reach the IRS contribution limit, payroll deductions will automatically stop for the rest of the calendar year.
Important for High Earners: Starting in 2026, some higher-paid team members may be required to make catch-up contributions as Roth (after-tax) contributions. This applies to team members who earned more than $150,000 in FICA wages during the prior calendar year, as required by federal law.
Vesting
Your retirement savings belong to you.
- Your contributions: 100% vested immediately.
- Employer contributions: 100% vested after three years of vesting service.
Roll Over Your Retirement Savings
Have retirement savings from a previous employer or an IRA? You may be able to roll those funds into your Adventist HealthCare Retirement Plan to keep your retirement savings together and make managing your investments easier.
Tip: Contact an AHRP Retirement Counselor for assistance with the rollover process and to understand any tax considerations before moving your funds.
Get More from Your Retirement Savings
The longer you’re with AdventHealth, the more you can receive through the retirement plan match. AdventHealth matches 100% of your contributions up to a percentage of your eligible pay, based on your years of service:
Years of Service | AdventHealth Match |
|---|---|
0–3.99 years | 100% match up to 4% |
4–9.99 years | 100% match up to 5% |
10–19.99 years | 100% match up to 6% |
20+ years | 100% match up to 7% |
Why it matters:
The AdventHealth match is an additional contribution toward your retirement savings. As your years of service increase, the percentage AdventHealth matches increases too.
Tip: Enroll early and take full advantage of the match. Even small contributions add up over time!
